A spreadsheet is a list. A seating chart is a room.

Couples start in Google Sheets, then hit the wall: who sits where, who cannot sit together, and what the venue actually looks like.

What a spreadsheet cannot show

A spreadsheet stores names, plus-ones, and RSVP status in rows. It cannot show table distance, dance-floor gaps, or a guest who must not sit beside another. Stellar Moments keeps the list and draws the room on one canvas. Last reviewed 25 August 2026.

Free wedding suites still leave seating as a side panel

Zola, The Knot, and Joy include seating inside a full wedding website. Their seating tools are free because the product is the registry and vendor ads. Stellar Moments is seating-first: drag tables, auto-assign, RSVP, print. Couple Pro is €9.99 one-time for one wedding. Free covers 50 invitees.

When to leave the spreadsheet

Leave the spreadsheet when you have more than about 40 names, any keep-apart pairs, or a venue diagram. Import CSV into Stellar Moments, place round and rectangular tables, then auto-assign. Export PNG for the coordinator. Print Center PDFs are on Couple Pro.
